Hello there! I'm Marcy.
First and foremost though, I am a full-time single mom.
I am a Jesus follower, a mover and a shaker, an advocate for women and the many things that I am passionate about. I am a business professional, a creator, a connector, a big thinker, an empowerer, and a motivator. I believe in raw vulnerability and embracing our true authentic self. I take a lot of pride in the things I do and Iād like to think Iām a pretty kick ass real estate agent too.
I grew up in a small town called Winamac, in the northeast corner of Indiana, surrounded by cornfields and the beauty of the Tippecanoe River.
Prior to real estate, I worked for the phone company. I started in a call center in Westfield, IN and then went on to outside sales on the West Coast - which later transitioned into an operations role for both the states of Nevada and later South Carolina. I sat at the forefront of our communities and was the face behind our name, managing everything from local engagement, customer revenues, marketing efforts and technical support for a crew of nearly 60 technicians across our footprint. (start new paragraph here) One of the most profounding things someone has ever said to me was āitās too bad you wasted your MBA to be a real estate agent,ā but I truly think that my education and background plays a big part of the real estate agent I am today. As a General Manager, I was ultimately responsible for everything that took place in my market so managing multiple projects became somewhat of the norm for me. In the telecommunications industry, things always break, so I learned how to navigate the unexpected - and itās no different in real estate. No two client experiences and closings are the same. And because I played a big role in creating and revamping our operational procedures, I had to think outside the box and get creative with ways to increase our market share - just as I do now to help our sellers get top dollar. I played a huge part in our local engagement model and giving back to our communities, which is still something Iām passionate about now. I use every single one of my skills from the corporate days as a realtor.
Originally, it was a hard transition from corporate leader to real estate, but today, I absolutely love where I am!
